Mi fridge broke six moths ago, I did not have money to repair it then, later I learned that it is a very simple thing to fix, but now I am used to not having it and I like that my electricity bill is reduced by 70%, incredible, isn't?
Well, what to eat then?
It helps to be a vegetarian.

For breakfast every day I throw in a blender:
fresh squeezed oranges (6)
3 cups of papaya
1 banana
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 cup seeds, nuts, almonds or plain granola
Yummy!

Late lunch involves going to the market every day to pick up veggies for a salad, or to make guacamole with lots of cilantro with corn tostadas. It takes only a few minutes.
The best thing about not having a fridge is that I don't eat milk products anymore.
EXCEPT for condenced milk, that keeps fine off the fridge on those new squeeze plastic bottles that I keep refilling with the old fashion cans once opened, it is great for coffee because you sweetened and add milk at the same time...fresh brewed coffee has never tasted better.

And if I get hungry at night I just have some whole grains cookies, or a fruit plate with honey.
I keep lean and on a budget because I just buy what I need for the day, it hepls to have an awsome fruit store near by, one of the many blessings of living in the tropics..

So go green, get ride off your fridge, save money, keep lean, plus the empty fridge makes a great dry food storage unit!
